March 7, 2017

Last week the numbers came in from the Realtors Association of Edmonton for the latest Real Estate Statistics for February, 2017.

Here is a recap of the last month:

  • Single family homes saw an increase in average price from January and also from this time last year.

  • Both condo and duplexes saw a decrease in average price from last month, as well as last February.

  • Inventory of new listings has decreased from last year of February 2016, and increased over the last month from January 2017.

  • The average days on market for all residential types has increased from this time in 2016.

The most expensive condo in Edmonton sold for over half a million dollars last month; although it looks like the majority of condo sales were under $250,000. There is also an increased demand for semi-attached homes, such as townhomes and duplexes in the Edmonton area.

As we move towards spring are you thinking of selling? With the decrease in inventory this would be a great time to get your home on the market and for a competitive price before the "rush".  Contact me if you have any questions or want to learn more. I make myself available at all times.
